From the resort of Păltiniș, the route crosses the Muncel Forest Range and the Bătrâna Clearing, with superb views over Sadului Valley (Valea Sadului), over Lake Negovanu, the only arched dam in Romania. Lake Negovanu is located in the pass named Gâtul Berbecului at an altitude of 1,150 metres. The dam offers impressive views of this area in Sibiu County, being one of the ideal places for vacation, where time seems to stand still. The route marked with a blue triangle is ideal for summer days with easy walks.
