Full route name: Săliște - Crinț - Poiana Soarelui
Trail of the Sun. The culture of wood marks and unveils a route and a theme hike for the tradition of wood processing in Săliște and the related villages, starting from its processing as a craft and for utility purposes, to its use in the most valuable non-figurative artistic exhibition of wood sculpture in the country, completed between the years 1981-1987 in the Clearing of the Sun (Șanta Crucii), in Săliște.

Find the location
You can get to Săliște either in your personal car, or by bus. Its schedule can be found on the autogări.ro website. The trip takes around 30 minutes and you can enjoy the wonderful landscape of Mărginimea Sibiului. However, in order to have a minimum impact on the environment and the lowest pollution level, we recommend you to gather in groups, in the smallest number of cars possible. At the base of the route you will find a map with all the information needed for the route. Follow the markings and the signage on the route and it will be very easy to find your way.
