The Fortress of Lotrioara

The Fortress of Lotrioara lies in the Turnu-Roşu Pass, where Lotrioara flows into the Olt river, on the right-side bank of Olt River, and it dates from the medieval period. It is considered the oldest medieval stronghold in the area. The first document regarding this fortress dates from the year 1407. We can currently see traces of walls and channels, however, their route is unknown.
