Full route name: Sibiel Railway Stop - Village of Fântânele - Former Fântânele Chalet - La Pripoane
The route starts from the Sibiel Railway Stop and invites hikers to walk through the village of Fântânele, through orchards and meadows, among huts and cliffs, on Lăpușel Hill, through the forest, to the former Fântânele Chalet. Along the route, the open views over the Cindrel Mountains and the Făgăraşi ridge are really wonderful, and the birch and fir tree forests add to the beauty of the blue sky and of the green pastures. In order to experience the intense colours of this route, we recommend a visit in the fall, at the beginning of October, when the golden colours of birch leaves blend perfectly with the autumn smell of the tree bark.

Find the locationIt takes approximately 30 minutes from Sibiu to get to the Sibiel Railway Stop, if you take the Regio train. Its schedule can be found on the mersultrenurilor.infofer.ro website. If you do not take the train, you will have to travel in your personal car. You will reach your destination in 20 minutes, and you will be able to enjoy a long and beautiful walk through the beautiful touristic village of Sibiel. However, in order to have a minimum impact on the environment and the lowest pollution level, we recommend you to gather in groups, in the smallest number of cars possible. At the base of the route you will find a map with all the information needed for the route. Follow the markings and the signage on the route and it will be very easy to find your way.
