Dear hiker,
We will start from Curciu, where we will visit the fortified church that preserves one of the most extensive medieval fresco ensembles in Transylvania. From here, we will continue through the Târnava hills, among villages with a special charm, forests, country roads and lavender fields, discovering an authentic, little-known and surprisingly beautiful Transylvania.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Departure will be on Saturday, 20.06.2026 at 8:30 from the Hornbach parking lot, with personal cars towards the village of Mosna.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Distance: 10–14 km. The route can be adjusted depending on the group’s preferences.
Elevation gain: approx. 300 m
Route difficulty: easy
Hiking duration: 4–5 hours
Experience duration: 6–8 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
spare T-shirts, trousers and socks, boots, rain poncho, hiking poles (recommended), sun cap, sunscreen, insect spray, whistle, water bottle min. 1.5 litres, snacks, whistle.
COSTS
80 lei/adult for participation in the hike.
40 lei/child
Optional: the church in Curciu can be visited – entrance will be 5 lei, and the church in Smig based on a donation.
Transportation and consumption will be paid separately and independently.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
