Museum of Glass Icons

The museum of Priest Zosim Oancea from Sibiel hosts the largest exhibition of icons on glass in Transylvania today, an exquisite religiously-inspired artistic creation, born from the richness of Orthodox tradition and from the extraordinary imagination of the Romanian peasant painters. 600 exhibits, the main types of glass icons, along with works of some of the most important painters of icons, render a visit to the Sibiel museum a unique occasion for discovering oriental traditions together with the Western techniques of this art-craft.
