The mill on the water

How do I get there
The last mill on the water, 126 years old, is in the village of Galeș, and it is still functional. It was used as early as in 1884, to grind cereal. However, they currently don’t grind much, because no one goes there anymore, according to the village millers. The Galeş mill has two vertical wheels, of different sizes, and when the corn or wheat are ready to grind, water rushes over the wheels, setting the wood and iron gear in motion. For an authentic experience, we recommend that you search the not only for the mill in the village, but also for the millers, such as Mrs Mănig, for instance.
