The steam train from Hârtibaciu Valley

Well-known in the past as the economic engine, but also as the main means of transport from Hârtibaciu Valley (Valea Hârtibaciului), the steam train has become a dream-project of the enthusiastic youth and volunteers from the Prietenii Mocăniței Association. The steam train which once connected the city of Sibiu to Sighișoara was the longest route of its type in Romania. Today, the Mocănița is once again in motion along the Cornățel – Hosman route, every weekend.
