Dear hikers,
We will start from the parking area of Turnu Roșu Monastery and ascend following the CR trail marking toward Poiana Pleașa, where we will make a fire in the specially arranged area to warm up and possibly grill some sausages. After the lunch and rest break, we will begin the descent toward the northeast, following the TA trail marking to Poiana Fântânii and then to Vărețului Peak, from where we will descend steeply to the left, back toward the monastery, following the PR trail marking.
The hike is suitable for people with good physical condition and for children aged 8 and above who have previously completed routes with greater elevation differences.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet in the morning, at 08:30, in the parking lot of the DECATHLON store, at Shopping City Șelimbăr.
From there we will travel by personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Turnu Roșu – Turnu Roșu Monastery, where we will leave the cars in the monastery parking lot. At the end, we will return to the same place to retrieve them.

Elevation gain: 600 m
Trail difficulty: medium
Hike duration: approximately 5-6 hours, including a break of about one hour in Poiana Pleașa.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots with good grip, suitable for snow.
Season-appropriate clothing: technical base layer, a fleece, and a final waterproof and windproof layer; spare T-shirt or base layer; hat and gloves; gaiters.
Small hiking backpack, sunglasses.
Water bottle or tea, minimum 1 l.
Snack for the trail.
Trekking poles can be very helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of participants. To reserve a seat, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group to organize and redistribute participants into the cars of those who are driving. Transport costs will be shared among the occupants of each car, by agreement with the driver.
COSTS
80 lei/adult or child over 14 years old, 50 lei/student, 20 lei/children between 8 and 12 years old.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and above may participate provided they are accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the suitability of the route for their children.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
