Dear Hikers,
We’re taking advantage of the last warm days of this autumn, so we invite you to join us for an unforgettable hiking experience in the beautiful Făgăraș Mountains.
The hike will be organized as follows:
We will start from Paltinul Cabin and follow the trail towards Paltinul Saddle, then continue on the main ridge trail towards Lăițel Peak, where we will take a well-deserved break. While enjoying the landscape, we’ll have time to sip some tea along with a light snack.
This is a medium-level hike, suitable for those with some basic hiking experience, as the terrain can be challenging.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet at 8:30 AM in the Hervis parking lot. From there, we will drive with personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Cârțișoara – Bâlea Lake, where we will park, around 10:00 AM.
For those who do not have a car, there will be a cost per person, payable directly to the driver who has available seats. Please notify us if you do not have a personal car so we can check for availability.

Hiking Duration: Approximately 6.5 hours (plus 3.5 hours for transportation)
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Since temperatures can drop significantly at high altitudes, the following items are recommended:
Gloves
Hat/buff
Mountain boots
Rain and windproof clothing
Fleece
Down jacket (warm jacket)
Thermos with tea, water bottle (minimum 1.5 liters)
Snacks (sandwiches, bars, fruits)
Recommended:
Trekking poles
Headlamp
COSTS
Hike: 90 lei/person – minimum 6 participants.
Children 8 years and older can participate, and up to 14 years old, the participation fee is half of the adult price, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the trail difficulty for their children).

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
