Dear hikers,
We invite you to visit the Guardian of the Cibin – the Giant Fir over 600 years old, on a special afternoon e-bike tour.
We will go up towards Păltiniș by bus 22, and from there we will set off on a relaxing descent on electric bikes, on easy off-road routes and trails, through the forests of the Cindrel Mountains. The main destination of the tour is the impressive Giant Fir, also known as the “Guardian of the Cibin”, one of the oldest and most spectacular trees in the area.
An accessible experience, suitable for nature and adventure lovers, combining outdoor activity with the discovery of one of the most interesting natural landmarks in Mărginimea Sibiului.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?

The meeting point is the Sibiu Train Station parking lot, at 15:50.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Bike helmet
- Waterproof mountain boots
- Clothing adapted to the season, in several layers
- Thermal layer
- Buff and gloves
- Spare T-shirt and socks
- Bottle with water or tea (minimum 1 litre)
- Food and fruit for the route
Recommended:
- Bike/sunglasses
- Bike gloves
COSTS
55 lei/person – guiding and instruction.
100 lei/person – electric bike rental for those who do not have their own.
For children up to 14 years old, the participation cost is 45 lei, if accompanied by an adult.
The tour will take place with a minimum of 4 participants.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

I declare under my own responsibility that, to the best of my knowledge, I am physically capable of sustained physical effort during hiking events without jeopardizing my health in any way. My participation in this event is entirely voluntary, understanding the associated risks to which I expose myself.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
