Dear hikers,
On Sunday, June 1st, we’re going on a hike between two fortified churches that are like hidden gems.
We begin with the fortified church in Curciu, where we’ll take part in a guided tour and admire the international Gothic-style frescoes. Then we hike up the hills, enjoy panoramic 360-degree views, and head north to the neighboring village of Băgaciu. We descend a gentle slope to visit its church and its Renaissance-style pews.
We return to Curciu, but by a different path.
Departure is from Mediaș, by minibus. Return is also by minibus.
However, we also have tickets available for those who wish to come by their own car.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meeting: 4:00 PM, across from the Mediaș Synagogue (43 Kogălniceanu Street)
There are 12 parking spots available.

You can also get there by Regio train from Sibiu – departs at 12:22 PM, arrives at 1:59 PM, and costs 10.5 RON.

Price: 130 RON/adult. Includes guide, church entry fees, and transport Mediaș – Curciu and back
Children up to 14 years old join for free.
Children aged 15 to 18 benefit from a 60 RON ticket.
The number of available spots is limited to 16 people.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
