Dear hikers,
We invite you on a tour in the Făgăraș Mountains: Cabana Bărcaciu, Scărișoarei Ridge and Scara Peak. The hike is of high difficulty, with an elevation gain of 1700 m. The route we will follow is: Cab. P. Neamțului – Cabana Bărcaciu – Scărișoarei Ridge – Scara Peak (depending on weather and snow conditions) – return.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Saturday, 28.02.26, Hervis Șelimbăr parking lot – 06:00
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
mountain boots (waterproof, above the ankle)
gaiters
season-appropriate clothing, in multiple layers
thermal layer
buff/hat/gloves
headlamp (charged!)
sunglasses, sunscreen
tea/water bottle (min 1 l)
snacks, fruit.
Recommended:
trekking poles, microspikes
for the section of the route above the tree line: crampons (depending on weather/snow conditions, we will inform you in advance if they are mandatory). Up to Cabana Bărcaciu and further up to the tree line they are NOT required
COSTS
80 RON/person
For children up to 14 years old, participation is free, if accompanied by an adult. The hike will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.
There is the possibility of having a meal at Cabana Bărcaciu
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of participants. To reserve a seat, please contact us by phone at 0744-371547 after completing registration.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

I acknowledge that the photos may be used for promotional purposes, both online and in printed materials, within the “Anii Drumeției” Program to promote it. I declare under my own responsibility that, to the best of my knowledge, I am physically capable of sustained physical effort during hiking events without jeopardizing my health in any way. My participation in this event is entirely voluntary, understanding the associated risks to which I expose myself.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
