Dear Hikers,
We will start from the Telescaun (Chairlift) station in Păltiniș (where we will park the cars) and continue under the ski slope on the forest road.
After a few hundred meters, we will turn right onto the trail to Poiana Găujoara (marked with a blue dot and a red cross) and ascend gently for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. In the meadow, after a short break for a snack and a warm tea, we will turn left towards Cantonul Muncel (on the blue dot), following a trail through the fir trees. Once there, we will cross the meadow with the canton and head east towards Grădina Oncești.
From there, we will climb slightly to the north, towards the arrival point of the chairlift, where we will enjoy a wonderful view of the resort and its surroundings. We will then descend along the ski slope back to our starting point.
The hike is suitable for individuals with basic physical fitness and for children aged 8 and older who have some hiking experience.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet in the morning at 9:00 AM in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, near the Hilton Hotel.
From there, we will drive our personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Păltiniș, parking at the Telescaun around 10:00 AM.

Distance: 9 km
Elevation gain: 380 m
Trail difficulty: Easy
Hike duration: Approximately 4–4.5 hours (with short breaks at Poiana Găujoara and Grădina Oncești).
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots with good grip and snow resistance.
Weather-appropriate clothing: technical base layer, a fleece, and a waterproof and windproof outer layer; spare t-shirt or base layer; hat and gloves; gaiters.
Small hiking backpack, sunglasses.
Bottle of water/tea, at least 1 liter.
Snack for the trail.
Trekking poles can be very helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of participants. To reserve a spot, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after completing your registration.
After registration is finalized, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for organizing and redistributing participants into cars. Transportation costs will be shared among the car occupants in agreement with the driver.
COSTS
70 lei/adult or child over 14 years old
Free for children aged 8–14
The tour will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and older can join, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the trail for their children).

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
