Dear hiker,

A family Sunday, with a picnic among the planets – Rășinari

It’s one of those simple and beautiful experiences you want for your children: fresh air, play, learning, and time together.

Gio Tara invites you to a Sunday when we turn a walk into a little adventure through the Universe, right near Sibiu, in Rășinari.

Planet Alley is an outdoor thematic trail, created so that children can discover the solar system… step by step, as they walk. Each stop becomes a story told in a way they can understand, about planets, distances, mystery, and curiosity. The outing becomes a guided play experience with Gio, while the Universe is translated into a child’s language by astronomer Magda Ienci.

Planet Alley is a project created by the Sibiu Children’s Palace (Scientific Anticipation Circle) in collaboration with Unimat and Rășinari Town Hall, aiming to encourage the study of Astronomy while also inviting those who follow the trail to enjoy a free walk in nature.

The idea of the project was born from the need to help children become aware of the real distances in the Solar System, as well as to compare the actual sizes of the important celestial bodies around the Sun.
