Dear hikers,
On Saturday, August 30, we invite you on a hike through the Land of Wine, passing through three villages that once thrived thanks to wine production and trade: Biertan, Dupuș, and Ațel.
We start in Biertan with a visit to the fortified church, a former Lutheran bishopric for 300 years. We continue along the Via Transilvanica, reaching one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Terra Saxonum. The trail leads us through the forest and then out onto the hills above Dupuș, a small but once prosperous village, as every slope was once covered in vineyards.
We spot the church from afar, walk through the village, and climb the last hill towards Ațel. Here, we take a break, visit the church (a Gothic gem), and… try not to get lost in the labyrinth. Which labyrinth? You’ll find out when you get there.

14:00 in the central square of Biertan
For departures from Mediaș, the meeting point is at the train station at 13:15.

COSTS
Adult price: 120 lei/person (includes guiding, entrance fees for 2 churches)
Child price (14–18 years old): 85 lei/person
Children under 14 years old join for free
For transport (Ațel – Biertan or Mediaș – Biertan & Ațel – Mediaș), there is a cost of 30–50 lei/person, depending on the number of participants and their needs. Transport will be by minibus or taxi.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
