Dear Hiker,
Encourage your child to explore a beautiful, almost forgotten world and join us for an easy hike in the scenic Orlat region. We’ll share stories about the uniqueness of these places, and then participate together in the Roman Festival Castrvm Novis – Cristian. This captivating Re-enactment event will enchant you from the very first moment.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Saturday, 06.07.2024 at 09:00 AM in the Kaufland Ștrand parking lot (next to the Cibin River).
We will group into personal cars and head towards the town of Orlat.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: Easy
Elevation gain: 200 – 300 m
Duration: 6 hours
We’ll set off around 09:00 AM towards Orlat, where we’ll enjoy a beautiful hike for approximately 3 – 4 hours. Afterward, we’ll return by car to the town of Cristian to admire the stork capital of Romania and actively participate in the Roman Festival Castrvm Novis. Here, the organizers will welcome and introduce us to Roman activities and battles.

Participation fee: 70 lei for adults and 30 lei per child
Optional: You can buy refreshments and food at the festival.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
