Dear Hiker,
Join us for a hike with mountain rhododendrons at the start of summer and enjoy the tranquility, fresh air, and the company of enthusiastic people ready for movement, stories, and good cheer!
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Departure will be on Sunday, 07.07.2024 at 7:30 AM from the Kaufland (Șelimbăr) parking lot, with personal cars heading towards the village of Porumbacu de Sus. From there, we will start the hike at 08:30 AM towards Negoiu Cabin and Vf. Șerbota.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Distance: 27 km round trip
Elevation gain: approx. 1630 m
Difficulty: Difficult
For those who wish to stop at Negoiu Cabin, the trail is of medium difficulty.
Duration: approximately 10 – 12 hours. Break at Negoiu Cabin for about 4 hours.
At 08:30 AM, we start the hike from outside Porumbacu de Sus towards Negoiu Cabin, approximately 3:30 hours.
Those who wish to take a longer break at Negoiu Cabin are free to relax until the others return, and they can also visit the Șerbota Waterfall.
At 4:00 PM, we will prepare to descend on the same trail, taking a maximum of 3-4 hours.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Change of shirts, pants, and socks, hiking boots, raincoat, hiking poles (recommended), waterproof pants and jacket, hat, flashlight, whistle, water bottle (minimum 1 liter), bear noise equipment, food and snacks, sunscreen.
COSTS
70 lei per person for the hike participation.
Transportation and consumption at the cabin (optional) will be paid separately and independently.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
