Dear hikers,
On Sunday, 9 August, we invite you to enjoy a special experience: an easy hike through the peaceful landscapes around Biertan, followed by a picnic in a picturesque natural setting.
The route is circular, starting and ending in Biertan, and crosses gentle hills, shaded trails and places that are perfect for enjoying nature at a leisurely pace.
At the end of the hike, we will stop for a carefully prepared picnic, where we will relax and enjoy local dishes in a friendly atmosphere. The experience also includes a visit to the fortified church in Biertan, one of the most valuable medieval monuments in Transylvania.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meeting: at 14:30, in front of Mediaș Train Station, or at 15:00, in the centre of Biertan, in Piața Mare, next to the Via Transilvanica milestone.

Minimum recommended age for participation: 7 years
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Hiking boots;
- Water bottle;
- Hat.
Optional but recommended:
- Trekking poles.
COSTS
210 lei/adult – the price includes guiding, admission to the fortified church and the picnic (soup, salad, dessert and drinks).
135 lei/child.
The number of places is limited to 14 participants.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is the responsibility of each participant and is arranged individually.
Those departing from Mediaș who need transportation are asked to contact the organiser to discuss the available travel options.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
