Dear hikers,
We invite you to a family hike on Fraga Hill, where we will combine the joy of mountain hiking with one of the most popular summer activities – picking blueberries.
We will start from Valea Strâmba, where we will park immediately after leaving DJ 106A and begin climbing along pastoral trails towards Surdu and Fraga Hills. Along the way, we will make several stops to pick blueberries beside the trail and enjoy the spectacular landscapes.
Once we reach Fraga Peak, we will take a lunch break and admire the panorama over Mărginimea Sibiului. We will then continue along the Yellow Stripe trail marker towards Pliului Hill, and from the saddle below Fraga we will descend on an unmarked trail that will lead us back to Valea Strâmba and the place where we left the cars.
The hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of physical fitness and for children aged at least 5.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 09:30, in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, near the Hilton Hotel.
From here, we will travel by personal cars on the route Sibiu – Rășinari – Valea Strâmba, where we will park at around 10:00, at the point where Valea Strâmba flows into the Seviș.

Hiking duration: approximately 4–5 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- High hiking boots with good grip and a lugged sole;
- Clothing adapted to the season, including a waterproof layer;
- Spare T-shirt or base layer;
- Small day backpack;
- Sunglasses;
- Minimum 1–1.5 litres of water;
- Snack for the break along the route (sandwich, pastry, energy bar or something sweet).
Recommended:
- Trekking poles.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide paid round-trip transportation for a limited number of participants. To reserve your place, please contact us by phone at 0722 177 001 after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group to organise transportation and redistribute participants among the available cars. Transportation costs will be shared among the occupants of each car (estimated cost: 20 lei/person).

Free for children aged between 5 and 12.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 5 and over may participate only if accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route in relation to their children’s level of preparation.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
