Dear nature and hiking lovers,
We invite you to join an adventure on paths less traveled by tourists, yet preserved in the hearts of shepherd families from Tilișca for centuries, routes they followed to reach the picturesque huts above the village.
This trip will be enriched by the presence of Oara, the daughter of a shepherd family from Tilișca. She will share with us stories from the daily life of shepherd families and memories from her childhood spent at the huts during the summer, where she helps her parents with the season’s specific work.
Oara will warmly welcome us to her family’s hut and delight our taste buds with a delicious bulz made of polenta and cheese, typical of the area.
The route is a loop of approximately 11 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 350 meters.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 9:00, in the parking lot next to Cabana Valea Aurie, from where we will leave grouped in cars toward Tilișca.

Hiking duration: 6 hours.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
hiking boots, hiking pants suitable for the season, technical base layer made of synthetic material or merino wool, fleece, windproof and/or waterproof jacket, cap or hat, backpack with a spare top, water (1.5 l), and food for a picnic.
TRANSPORTATION
We offer free transportation for up to 8 people on a first come, first served basis. Seat allocation and confirmation in the minibus will be made after purchasing the participation ticket, through a message sent to the guide.
COSTS
100 RON/adult, 50 RON/child up to 14 years old.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
