Dear hikers,
We invite you to a hike in the Făgăraș Mountains: Breaza Monastery – Poiana Curmăturii – Culmea Moșuleței – Lake Urlea – Urlea Peak.
The hike is of high difficulty and will take us on one of the wildest and least-traveled routes in the eastern Făgăraș Mountains. We will start from Breaza Monastery and climb through Poiana Curmăturii on Culmea Moșuleței, up to the spectacular Lake Urlea. Depending on the weather conditions and the condition of the group, we will continue the ascent to Urlea Peak, from where we will admire the impressive panorama over the main ridge of the Făgăraș Mountains.
The route we will follow is: Breaza Monastery – Poiana Curmăturii – Culmea Moșuleței – Lake Urlea – Urlea Peak – return on the same route.

ROUTE INFORMATION

- duration: approximately 13–14 hours
- elevation gain: approximately 1,600 m (±300 m, depending on weather conditions and the group’s configuration)
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- mountain boots (waterproof, above the ankle)
- clothing adapted to the season, in several layers
- thermal layer
- buff
- thin hat
- thin gloves
- rain poncho
- headlamp (charged)
- sunglasses
- bottle with water/tea (minimum 1 litre)
- sandwiches and snacks
Recommended:
- trekking poles
COSTS
80 lei/person.
For children up to 14 years old, participation is free of charge, if accompanied by an adult. The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
