Dear hikers,
We invite you to a hike in the Făgăraș Mountains, towards Cabana Podragu and Podrăgel Lake.
We will follow the route Transfăgărășan – Valea Izvorul Caprei – “La Trei Pași de Moarte” – Mircii Peak – Șaua Podragului – Cabana Podragu – Căldarea Podrăgelului – Fereastra Zmeilor – Transfăgărășan.
The hike is of high difficulty, recommended for people with good physical fitness and experience on mountain trails.

Sunday, 26.07.2026, HERVIS Șelimbăr store parking lot, at 06:00.
ROUTE INFORMATION
- Hiking duration: approximately 10 hours
- Elevation gain: approximately 1,550 m
- Route difficulty: difficult
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Mountain boots (waterproof, above the ankle);
- Clothing adapted to the season, in several layers;
- Thermal layer;
- Waterproof and windproof clothing;
- Rain poncho;
- Gloves;
- Hat;
- Sun protection (cap, sunglasses and sunscreen);
- Headlamp;
- Bottle with water or tea (minimum 1 litre);
- Sandwiches and snacks.
Recommended:
- Trekking poles.
COSTS
80 lei/person.
Participation is free of charge for children up to 14 years old, if accompanied by an adult.
The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
