Dear hikers,
On Saturday, September 21st, we invite you to a family hike along the Via Transilvanica segment connecting Biertan to Copșa Mare.
Starting from the town square at the Via Transilvanica marker, we will follow the trail, making a stop after 1.5 km to admire the citadel from above, and then continue our journey towards Copșa Mare. Upon arrival, we will visit the church, climb the tower, and return to Biertan via an alternative route.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
9:30 AM, in the small park in front of Biertan Town Hall, next to the Via Transilvanica marker.
This experience is designed for those who have their own transportation and wish to participate in multiple activities during European Heritage Days.
If you don’t have transportation but would like to join, please message or call the guide at 0729 050636 at least 2 days in advance.

The price includes: guide services, entry to the church in Copșa Mare.
Participation is free for children under 14, provided they are accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the trail’s difficulty for their children.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
