Dear hiker,
We are waiting for you on the trails for an easy-to-medium level hike, together with young and old, from Sadu towards Tălmaciu, through Poienile Câmpșorului and Dealul cu Pini, in the Lotru Mountains.
The route passes through old clearings of Mărginimea Sibiului, where the Saxons once climbed with their festive chests, but also through the “Șuvara Sașilor” Nature Reserve. We will enjoy incredible views towards the Cindrel, Lotru and Făgăraș Mountains.
It will be a day of walking at a relaxed pace, breathing deeply and looking into the distance towards the most beautiful horizons. A special day among forests, clearings and wide-open views, with good cheer and a small surprise at the end.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Saturday, 06.06.2026, at 09:00, Kaufland Șelimbăr parking lot.
We will group ourselves in personal cars and set off towards the village of Sadu.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: easy to medium
Approximate elevation gain: 300–400 m.
Approximate distance: 11 km
Hiking duration: 4 hours
Total duration of the experience: 5–7 hours.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Spare T-shirts, trousers and socks, mountain boots, hiking poles (recommended), rain poncho, waterproof jacket and trousers, sun cap, sunscreen, water bottle of at least 1 litre, snacks, whistle, flashlight
We recommend dressing in thin layers, as it is cool in the morning, and during the ascent the temperature will rise.
COSTS
Guiding 80 lei – adult, 40 lei/children
Those who wish can opt for a meal at the end of the hike, with goodies prepared by the Rotaru family at Camping Tălmaciu. We will choose the menu together after the group is formed.
Food options:
Chicken and pork barbecue, with potatoes and salad
Roast meat, with potatoes or rice and salad
Grilled trout, with potatoes
Drinks and dessert (included in all options): blueberry liqueur, coffee or tea, doughnuts
Costs:
First two options: 60 lei/person
Trout option: 70 lei/person
Children under 12 benefit from a 50% discount.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
