Țara Șurilor de Lemn in the Lotru Mountains – Vârful Hârsa – Valea Lotrioarei
This special hike will take us through Țara Șurilor de Lemn, a picturesque area where we will cross hayfields and alpine pastures, always enjoying spectacular views until we reach Vârful Hârsa. We will follow an accessible and pleasant trail, admiring the close panorama of the Făgăraș Mountains, Suru, and Cozia Peaks.

After this nature escape, we will reach Valea Lotrioarei, where we will enjoy a surprise as well as the warm hospitality of our hosts at Pensiunea Rotarii. Here, we will relax and enjoy a delicious roast, prepared in a way that only the mountains can offer – a true reward after an active day in the fresh air.

ROUTE INFORMATION
Trail difficulty: easy to moderate
Elevation gain: 450 m
Distance: 12-14 km
Hiking duration: 8-9 hours
Lunch will be served at Pensiunea Rotarii on Valea Lotrioarei, and its cost will be paid separately from the hike fee, directly to the hosts upon arrival.
This lunch, served in the heart of the Țara Șurilor de Lemn community, supports the locals in preserving traditions and contributes to the development of tourism in Râu Sadului commune.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Extra t-shirts, socks, and pants, high-ankle hiking boots, rain poncho, waterproof jacket and pants, hiking poles (recommended), gaiters (recommended in case of snow), gloves, hat, whistle, water bottle (minimum 1 liter), snacks for the trail
COSTS
80 RON/person for the hike
Optional: 50 RON for pork roast with rustic potatoes and salad, a blueberry liqueur/fruit syrup, and a tea/coffee.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
