Dear hikers,
We invite you to a hike dedicated to the “Little Mountaineers”, but not only, in one of the most spectacular areas of the Făgăraș Mountains.
It is a medium-difficulty route, suitable both for children used to mountain hiking and for adults who want to enjoy impressive panoramas and the beauty of the Făgăraș ridge. Along the route, we will have numerous viewpoints, with spectacular views in all directions.
The route we will follow is: Bâlea Lac – Paltinu Peak – Curmătura Bâlii – Iezerul Caprei Peak – Șaua Caprei – Capra Lake – Capra Peak – Vânătarea lui Buteanu – Șaua Văiuga – Valea Văiuga – Bâlea Lac.
The estimated duration of the hike is 7–8 hours, with an elevation gain of approximately 950 m.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?

The meeting point is the HERVIS Șelimbăr store parking lot, at 08:00.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Mountain boots above the ankle
- Clothing adapted to the season, in several layers
- Thermal layer
- Thin hat
- Thin gloves
- Buff
- Rain poncho
- Cap/sun protection
- Water bottle (minimum 1 litre)
- Sandwiches and snacks for the route

- Trekking poles
COSTS
80 lei/person
For children up to 14 years old, participation is free of charge, if accompanied by an adult.
The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
