Dear hikers,
We invite you on Sunday, 23.08.2026, to a hike dedicated to the history of mountain hiking infrastructure in the Carpathians: “Famous trails and mountain huts – past and present” (“Poteci și cabane celebre – trecut și prezent”), in the Făgăraș Mountains, on the Cascada Șerbota – Cabana Negoiu – Poteca Balaurului – Piatra Caprei route.
The hike is of moderate difficulty, with a duration of approximately 8 hours and an elevation gain of approximately 1,100 m.
The route we will follow is: V. Porumbacului/Cariera – Cascada Șerbota – Cab. Negoiu – Poteca Balaurului – Piatra Caprei – return.
The tour focuses on stories and anecdotes related to the construction of trails and mountain huts in the Carpathians.
We will take our lunch break at Cabana Negoiu, where there is also the possibility of having a meal.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Sunday, 23.08.2026, in the HERVIS store parking lot (Șelimbăr Mall), at 08:00.

Participation is free of charge for children up to 14 years old, if accompanied by an adult.
The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
