Dear hikers,
We will start from the Telescaun in Păltiniș (where we will park our cars) and ascend along the ski slope, following the parallel trail marked with TA until we reach the top station of the chairlift.
We will continue on the forest road with a gentle climb, and in about 10 minutes, we will reach the relay station, which we will bypass on the right before stopping at Vf. Oncești (1725m). From there, we will descend westward through the forest, reaching Grădina Oncești. We will then follow the PA trail towards Cantonul Silvic Muncel and finally return to Păltiniș.
This hike is suitable for individuals with a minimum level of physical fitness and for children aged 6-8 years and older who have prior hiking experience.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 6:00 PM in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, next to Hilton Hotel.
From there, we will travel in personal cars on the Sibiu – Păltiniș route, parking at the Telescaun around 7:00 PM.

Hike duration: Approximately 3-4 hours (including necessary breaks)
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
High hiking boots with good grip, suitable for snow.
Season-appropriate clothing: a base layer, a fleece, and a waterproof outer layer; an extra t-shirt or base layer.
Small hiking backpack.
Gaiters, hat, and gloves. Snowshoes may be useful if available.
Thermos with tea + water bottle (at least 1L of liquids).
Snack for a mid-hike break.
Trekking poles can be very helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of participants. To reserve a spot, please contact us at 0722-177001 after registering.
Once the registration process is complete, the guide will create a WhatsApp group to help coordinate carpooling.
Car costs will be shared among passengers, as agreed with the driver.

Free for children aged 8 and up
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and up may participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the trail’s difficulty for their child).

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
