Dear hikers,
On full moon nights, the snow sparkles in a special way in the mountains. And the crunch of a boot on snow reminds us of the winters of our childhood – the ones we miss so much when we get nostalgic. Let’s turn those memories into reality!
We will start from the Chairlift in Păltiniș (where we will park our cars) and follow the trail marked with CR towards Poiana Găujoara and, from there, to Vf. Bătrâna. After resting a bit and enjoying the beautifully arranged constellations in the sky, we return on BR to Cantonul Muncel, then we take the trail marked with TR, first through the forest and then on the forest road, to get back to Păltiniș.
The hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of fitness and for children aged 8 and above who have been on hikes before.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 16:30, in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, next to the Hilton Hotel.
From there, we will travel by personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Păltiniș, where we will park at the Chairlift around 17:30.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Distance: 10.5 km
Elevation gain: 450 m
Trail difficulty: medium
Hiking duration: approximately 4-5 hours (including the necessary breaks on the trail).
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
High hiking boots with good grip; the boots must also be suitable for snow.
Season-appropriate clothing: a base layer, a fleece, and a final waterproof layer; a spare T-shirt or base layer.
Small hiking backpack. Gaiters, hat and gloves. If you have them, snowshoes can be helpful.
Thermos with tea + water bottle, minimum 1 l of liquids.
Snack for a break halfway along the route
It is absolutely necessary to have a headlamp and spare batteries with you
Trekking poles can be very helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of participants. To reserve a seat, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registration.
After registration is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we will organize / redistribute into the cars of those coming by car. The transport costs for these will be shared among the passengers of that car, as agreed with the driver.
COSTS
80 lei/adult, 40 lei/student.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 8 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and above can participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for their children).

– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
