Dear hikers,
We invite you to a brand-new hike in one of the most spectacular corners of the Cindrel Mountains, starting from Lake Oașa towards Șerbota Mare and Frumoasa Peaks (2,162 m).
We will climb towards the high ridges of the Cindrel Mountains, the Devil’s Plateau and the beautiful Iezerul Mic, in an area of outstanding natural beauty included in the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas.
Along the way, spectacular views will open up towards the Lotru, Parâng, Șureanu and Făgăraș Mountains, and at over 2,000 m we will enjoy the alpine landscapes and impressive panoramas of the Cindrel Mountains.
A full day in the mountains, with glacial lakes, high ridges and 360° views, in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Departure will take place on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at 07:00, from the Kaufland – Hornbach parking lot, and we will travel by personal cars towards Cabana Oașa.

Distance: approximately 20–24 km
Elevation gain: approximately +900–1,000 m
Route difficulty: moderate to difficult
Hiking duration: approximately 8–9 hours
Total duration of the experience: approximately 10–11 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Mountain boots, day backpack, spare T-shirt and socks, cap or hat, jacket and rain poncho, flashlight or headlamp, whistle, minimum 1.5 litres of water and a substantial snack for the route.
We also recommend sunscreen, trekking poles, as well as calcium, magnesium and electrolytes.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
