Dear hikers,
We will start near the Apoldu Hotel-Restaurant, located just off the Apoldu de Jos highway exit. From there, we’ll take a communal road for about 500 m to reach the forest entrance in a meadow called La Fazani, where we’ll park our cars. From the meadow, we’ll head west through the forest toward the vineyards of Apoldu de Sus, for better views over the rolling hills of Țara Secașelor, toward Amnaș and Aciliu. We’ll return heading north and then east, along the other side of the forest, back to the starting point.
Along the forest path, we’ll forage mushrooms for identification, and if we’re quiet enough, we might spot pheasants, rabbits, or deer. At the end of the hike, we’ll have a wine and cheese tasting at Poiana La Fazani. The wine will be provided by Domeniul Apoldium, and the cheeses by Livia Voinica from Sadu.
Those who wish can stay after the tasting for a grill session (bring your own ingredients) and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the clearing.
This hike is suitable for individuals with minimal physical fitness who can walk 4–5 km. It is an easy trail, also accessible for children.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meet at 09:30 AM, in the METRO parking lot on Șoseaua Alba Iulia.
We will then drive by personal car via highway on the route: Sibiu – Hotel Restaurant Apoldu, where we expect to arrive and park around 10:00 AM.

Hike duration: approx. 3.5 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Waterproof hiking shoes or boots with good grip; seasonal clothing including a final waterproof layer; small daypack; change of shirt; water bottle (min. 1 L).
Bring a light snack for the hike (an energy bar or pastry is recommended).
Optional: Trekking poles.
TRANSPORTATION
Limited round-trip transport may be provided. To reserve, please call 0722-177001 after registering.
Once registered, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for organizing carpooling. Transport costs will be shared among passengers as agreed with the driver.
COSTS
80 RON/adult, 50 RON/student (over 12 years), 20 RON/child under 12
The hike will take place with a minimum of 8 adult participants.
Children over 5 are welcome if they have some hiking experience and are each accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for judging whether the trail suits their child.

– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
