Dear hikers,
On Sunday, June 15th, we’ll enjoy a beautiful day, explore diverse ecosystems, and savor a bowl of fish soup!
We start in the center of Mediaș, quickly climb a hill, pass through two pasture-forest areas (an ecosystem mostly found here in southern Transylvania), admire a young woodland, and then enjoy a fish soup or fish roe salad at Cherhana Denisa.
The total route is 8 km, 2 of which go through town, the rest through nature.
If we’re lucky, we might even spot some deer!
This hike is suitable for families and for little (but resilient) feet.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
3:00 PM, in front of the Synagogue in Mediaș
(Cars can be parked in the lot in front of the Synagogue)

Distance: 8 km one way (we return by taxi – about 10 RON per person)
Elevation gain: 60 m
Total hike duration: 4–5 hours (the route alone takes 2 hours for adults)

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
