Dear hikers,
We will start from Mălinului Street in Gușterița and hike up to the Falkenhayn Memorial Tower on Gușterița Hill. After enjoying the beautiful view of Sibiu, we will descend towards the dog shelter, then take an unmarked path to the left, into the forest, and continue on the marked trail leading to Hamba. We’ll stop for lunch at a specially designated spot before returning on a different route, which will take us to the future Gușterland park. From there, we’ll descend back to the cars or spend more time enjoying the fresh air and peace among the tall pines.
This hike is suitable for individuals with basic physical fitness and children aged 5 and up.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet at 11:00 AM, at the intersection of Mălinului and Viitorului streets in Gușterița. We will park the cars there and begin the hike.

Elevation gain: 300 m
Trail difficulty: easy / medium
Hike duration: approximately 5 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
High hiking boots with good grip, preferably waterproof
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer; a spare t-shirt or base layer; fleece if necessary
Small daypack, water bottle with warm tea/water (min 1L), sunglasses
Snacks for breaks
Trekking poles can be useful
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve a spot, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registering. Once registration is complete, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for organizing and carpooling. Transportation costs will be shared among the occupants (approximately 15 lei/person).
COSTS
70 lei/adult or children over 14 years.
Children aged 5-14 participate for free.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
