Dear hikers,
We will start from Rășinari, at the exit towards Curmătura, and follow the trail up to Cetatea Uriașilor, where we will learn about its legend. We then continue along the path on Dealul Ganța, which runs parallel to the Valea Ștezii, heading towards Poiana Pensionarilor. We will take an extended break there, not just for photos but also to prepare a fire pit, light a fire, and grill some sausages on skewers or roast bacon.
Children will have the opportunity to learn the rules of safely making a fire in the forest while minimizing environmental impact. After enjoying our meal and ensuring the fire is completely extinguished, we will descend back towards Curmătura on a different trail along the southern side of the hill.
This hike is suitable for those with minimal hiking experience and for children over 5 years old.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet in the morning at 10:00, in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, next to Hotel Hilton.
From there, we will drive with personal cars to Rășinari, where we will drop off the hikers and then take the cars to the endpoint of the route. The drivers will return to the group before we start the hike.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Waterproof hiking boots with good grip
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer
Small day backpack
Spare t-shirt or base layer
Cap/hat, sunglasses
Water or tea (minimum 1L)
Sausages or bacon for roasting on skewers (or other food alternatives if preferred), plus an energy bar or fruit
Trekking poles (optional but helpful)
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of participants. To reserve a spot, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registering.
Once registration is complete, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for coordination and carpooling. Transportation costs will be shared among the passengers, in agreement with the driver.

20 RON/child (5-14 years old)
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 5 and up can join if accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the hike for their children.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
