Dear hikers,
On Sunday, October 6, we will take a hike between two fortified churches, ending the day with a glass of wine from a local winery.
We begin at the fortified church in Curciu, where we’ll join a guided tour and marvel at the paintings in the International Gothic style. Then, we’ll hike up the hills, enjoy 360-degree views, and head north toward the neighboring village of Băgaciu. We descend a gentle slope to visit the church and its Renaissance pews. We’ll end the day with a local wine tasting, as we are in the Wine Country!
Departure will be from Mediaș by minibus. Return trip, also by minibus.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meeting: 9:00 AM, across from Mediaș Synagogue (43 Kogălniceanu St.)
There are 12 parking spaces available.

COSTS
Price: 160 lei/person. Includes guiding, church entries, wine tasting, and transportation from Mediaș to Curciu and from Băgaciu to Curciu.
Children under 14 years old can join for free.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
