Dear hikers,
On Sunday, November 2, we’ll depart from Sibiu towards Rășinari and continue by car along Valea Caselor. We’ll park in the lot used by hikers heading to the MGS Cabin. From the parking area, we’ll climb steadily for about 500 m toward the trail coming from Prislop to Poiana Trandafirilor. Before reaching the ridge trail, we’ll turn right toward Târnova Saddle and continue to MGS Cabin. After a short break there, we’ll return on the trail that descends through Valea Caselor back to Rășinari, making a small detour to Derjani Hill before finishing.
The hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of physical fitness and for children over 8 years old who have some endurance on longer trails.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet in the morning, at 9:30, in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, near the Hilton Hotel.
From there, we’ll drive with personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Rășinari, then along Valea Caselor, parking around 10:15.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots with good grip;
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer; spare T-shirt or base layer;
Small hiking backpack;
Hat and gloves, sunglasses;
Water or tea bottle, minimum 1.5 L;
Snack for the breaks along the trail. At MGS Cabin you may be able to order from their menu if someone is there.
Trekking poles can be helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of people. To reserve a place, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registration.
After completing the registration process, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for organizing and redistributing participants into cars. The transport costs will be shared among the car’s occupants, as agreed with the driver.
COSTS
80 lei/adult; 40 lei/student or pupil; 20 lei/child under 10 years old.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and up can participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the trail’s difficulty for their children.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
