Dear nature and hiking lovers,
The hike will take us along a path used by locals, up to Răvicuței Peak, in the Lotru Mountains. The landscape is spectacular, typical of Mărginime, with hay huts, sheep shelters and incredible views, now enhanced by the colors of spring: we will see Suru Peak from a new perspective, admire Cozia in the distance along the Olt Valley, and be impressed by the snow-covered ridge of Sterpu Peak to the south.
As we have become used to on our hikes from Boița, we will enjoy views over the Olt River, at the entrance to the gorge. The route will be filled with captivating stories and accounts of the history of the place, a rich history, given that the village lies on the southern border of Transylvania.
For extra flavor, hikers will be able to enjoy aromatic coffee and a sweet surprise in a place with a superb panorama.
It is a medium-difficulty route, 14 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of 700 meters. In some places, the trail crosses steeper sections through the forest, so participants should have good physical condition and a minimum hiking experience in the mountains.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 9:00, in the parking lot next to KFC Șelimbăr, from where we will leave grouped in cars toward Boița.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
hiking boots, hiking pants suitable for the season, technical base layer made of synthetic material or merino wool, fleece, windproof and/or waterproof jacket, cap or hat, backpack with a spare top, water (1.5 l), and food for a picnic.
TRANSPORTATION
We offer free transportation for up to 8 people on a first come, first served basis. Seat allocation and confirmation in the minibus will be made after purchasing the participation ticket, through a message sent to the guide.
COSTS
70 RON/adult
For children up to 14 years old, participation in the hike is free, provided they are accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for their children.

– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
