Dear hiker,
We invite you on the wine road and the Saxon stories path, on a fairytale-like hike, along a route full of charm and history, in the heart of Transylvania. We start in Biertan, one of the most picturesque Saxon villages in Romania, guarded by the imposing fortified church – a UNESCO monument and symbol of harmony between man and nature.
We gently climb on Via Transilvanica, following the old wine road that winds over terraced hills, once covered with vineyards. As we gain altitude, spectacular panoramas of Biertan unfold before us, with its medieval towers, reddish rooftops, and the tranquility that seems untouched by time.
The road takes us through meadows and gentle forests, at a relaxed pace, perfect for stories and photos. Finally, we arrive in Richiș, a village with a special charm, where we visit the Evangelical church, famous for its mysterious carvings and unique energy.
This hike is a return to simplicity and tradition, a journey through dreamlike landscapes and living history.

Transport will be provided by minibus sponsored by Art Reisen, from the Ecotourism Fair 2025 (cost 0 lei) or individually, with costs covered by each participant.

– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
