Dear hikers,
We will start from near Hotel – Restaurant Apoldu, located at the motorway exit at Apoldu de Jos, on a local road and, after about 500 m, we will reach the entrance to the forest, in a small meadow called La Fazani, where we will park the cars. From here, we will climb through the forest towards the west, towards the vineyards of Apoldul de Sus, in order to have a better view over the hills of Țara Secașelor, towards Amnaș and Aciliu. We will return, heading north and then east, on the other side of the forest, towards the place where we parked.
Along the entire walk through the forest, we will look for mushrooms to identify them and, if we are not too noisy, we may be lucky enough to see pheasants, hares or roe deer. At the end of the tour, in Poiana La Fazani, we will organize a wine and cheese tasting. The wine is provided by Domeniul Apoldium, and the cheeses by Livia Voinica from Sadu.
The hike is suitable for people who have a minimum level of physical fitness and who can walk 4–5 km. It is an easy-difficulty tour, accessible even to children.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 17:30, in the METRO store parking lot, on Șoseaua Alba Iulia.
From there, we will travel by personal cars on the motorway, on the route Sibiu – Hotel Restaurant Apoldu (Apoldu de Jos exit), where we will park the cars, approximately around 18:00.
ROUTE INFORMATION

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Waterproof hiking boots or shoes, with good grip;
- Clothing adapted to the season, including a waterproof outer layer;
- Small day backpack;
- Spare T-shirt;
- Water bottle (minimum 1 litre);
- Snack for the walk through the forest (we recommend an energy bar or a pastry).
Optional:
- Trekking poles.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve your place, please contact us by phone at 0722 177 001, after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we will organize and redistribute ourselves in the cars of those coming by car. Transportation costs will be shared among the occupants of each car, by agreement with the driver.
COSTS
- 60 lei/adult
- 30 lei/pupil (over 10 years old) or student
- Free for children under 10 years old
The cost includes the tasting products.
The tour will take place with a minimum of 8 adult participants.
Children aged 5 and over may participate, provided that they have a minimum experience in hiking and that each of them is accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for children.

– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
