Dear hikers,
We invite you to an after-work hike to Poiana Pensionarilor and Mărăjdie, in the Gura Râului area.
We will start from the intersection of Călugăru Road with DJ106, the road connecting Sibiu to Păltiniș, and follow the blue triangle trail marker towards Poiana Pensionarilor. Here we will stop for approximately 20 minutes to rest, hydrate and have a small snack.
After enjoying the beautiful view from the clearing towards Măgura Peak and Prejba, we will climb approximately another 100 metres along the ridge, then descend on an unmarked trail towards Mărăjdie, at the exit from Gura Râului towards Păltiniș.
The hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of physical fitness. Children aged at least 8 may participate if accompanied by an adult.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 17:30, in the Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului parking lot, near the Hilton Hotel.
From there, we will travel by personal cars towards Rășinari and then to the intersection with Călugăru Road, where we will drop off the hikers, after which we will take the cars to the end point of the route. The drivers will then return to the group and we will set off on the hike together.

Elevation gain/loss: +160 m / -370 m
Route difficulty: easy
Hiking duration: approximately 2.5–3 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Waterproof hiking boots with good grip;
- Clothing adapted to the season, including a waterproof outer layer;
- Small day backpack;
- Spare T-shirt or base layer;
- Cap / hat;
- Sunglasses;
- Water bottle, minimum 1–1.5 l;
- Snack;
- Energy bar or a piece of fruit.
Trekking poles may be helpful.

The tour will take place with a minimum of 8 adult participants.
Children aged between 5 and 14 may participate provided that each child is accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for their children.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve a place, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001, after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we will organise ourselves and redistribute participants among the cars.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
