Dear hikers,
We invite you to a family hike to the Sibiel Hayfields, with lunch at Cabana Godea.
We will start from the exit of Sibiel towards Crinț and, immediately after the guesthouse at the edge of the village, we will cross the Sibiel stream to the left and begin a gentle climb along Valea Cetății. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will leave the valley and climb to the right towards the Sibiel Hayfields, where we will join the trail leading from Sibiel towards Poiana Godea. We will turn left onto the trail towards Cabana Godea, where our hosts will be waiting for us with lunch (a tasty soup, non-alcoholic drinks – two types of lemonade, coffee, water and homemade doughnuts). We will stop here for about an hour for lunch and rest, then descend back towards Sibiel, most likely following the blue dot trail marker.
The hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of physical fitness and for children aged at least 8 who have previous mountain hiking experience.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 10:30, in the Ambient store parking lot, on Șoseaua Alba Iulia.
From there, we will travel in our own cars along the Sibiu – Sibiel route, drive through the entire village and park in a suitable area after the guesthouse at the village exit. At the end of the hike, we will return there to collect the cars.

Route difficulty: moderate
Hiking duration: approximately 6 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- waterproof hiking boots with good grip;
- clothing adapted to the season: technical T-shirt that wicks away sweat, and optionally a thin waterproof outer layer;
- small day backpack;
- spare T-shirt;
- cap / hat;
- sunglasses;
- water – minimum 1.5 l;
- a light snack for a break halfway through the ascent.
Recommended:
- trekking poles.
COSTS
Guiding costs:
80 lei/adult
40 lei/pupil over 12 years old or student
Children aged 8 to 11 participate free of charge.
Meal costs at the hut: 50 lei/person, regardless of age – payable there, directly to the hosts.
For logistical reasons, the tour will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 8 and above may participate provided that each child is accompanied by a parent. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for their children.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve a place, please contact us by phone at 0722 177 001, after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we will organise ourselves and redistribute participants among the cars of those travelling by car.
The transportation costs will be shared by the occupants of each respective car, with an approximate cost of 20 lei/person.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
