Dear hikers,
We will leave by personal cars from Sibiu at 2:40 and travel together as a group towards Bâlea Lac. We will park in a suitable place and begin the climb towards Șaua Caprei around 4:10, so that by 5:50–6:00 we are on Vânătoarea lui Buteanu Peak, waiting for the sunrise at 6:08. After the photo session on the peak, we will descend towards Șaua Capra, from where we will continue along the ridge, passing over Iezerul Caprei Peak and Turnul Paltinului. Here we will leave the ridge to descend towards Șaua Doamnei and further on towards Bâlea Lake.
The hike is suitable ONLY for people with an average or good level of physical fitness and for children aged at least 12 who have mountain experience. The climb towards Vânătoarea lui Buteanu Peak will be done with headlamps, in the dark.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet in the morning, at 02:45, in the DECATHLON parking lot, in Shopping City Șelimbăr.
From there, we will travel by personal cars on the route Sibiu – Bâlea Lake, where we will park the cars in the parking lot next to Cabana Bâlea Lac.
