Dear hikers,
We invite you to an after-work hike on the Northern Ridge of Buteanu Peak (2,507 m).
We will follow a spectacular alpine route in the Făgăraș Mountains, which will lead us along the Northern Ridge of Buteanu Peak. The route includes exposed passages, where we will use individual safety equipment, and is recommended for people with mountain hiking experience and no fear of heights.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?

For participants who do not have their own transport, the meeting point is the Hervis Șelimbăr parking lot – Sibiu, at 15:30, from where we will leave together towards the starting point of the route.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Climbing harness;
- Screwgate carabiner (HMS);
- Sling of 80–120 cm;
- Climbing helmet or bike helmet;
- Headlamp;
- Waterproof mountain boots;
- Clothing adapted to the season, in several layers;
- Thermal layer;
- Buff and gloves;
- Spare T-shirt and socks;
- Bottle with water or tea (minimum 1 litre);
- Food and fruit.
Recommended:
- Sunglasses;
- Bike gloves.
*Equipment note
Participants who do not have the required climbing equipment (harness, screwgate carabiner, sling and helmet) can receive it free of charge from the guide, subject to available equipment. Please mention this at the time of registration.
COSTS
- 120 lei/person – guiding and instruction.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

I acknowledge that the photos may be used for promotional purposes, both online and in printed materials, within the “Anii Drumeției” Program to promote it. I declare under my own responsibility that, to the best of my knowledge, I am physically capable of sustained physical effort during hiking events without jeopardizing my health in any way. My participation in this event is entirely voluntary, understanding the associated risks to which I expose myself.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
