Dear hikers,
We invite you to a hike in the Făgăraș Mountains: Negoiu Peak – Custura Sărății – Șerbota Peak.
The hike is of high difficulty and will take us on one of the most spectacular ridge routes in the Făgăraș Mountains. We will start from Valea Porumbacului, climbing towards Cabana Negoiu, then through Căldarea Sărății and Șaua Cleopatrei up to Negoiu Peak (2,535 m). From here, we will cross the impressive Custura Sărății, considered the most technical section of the Făgăraș ridge, after which we will continue towards Șerbota Peak and descend back to Cabana Negoiu and Valea Porumbacului.
The route we will follow is: Valea Porumbacului (Quarry) – Cabana Negoiu – Căldarea Sărății – Șaua Cleopatrei – Negoiu Peak – Custura Sărății – Șerbota Peak – Cabana Negoiu – Valea Porumbacului.

Saturday, 18.07.2026, at 06:00, in the HERVIS parking lot – Shopping City Șelimbăr.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Route difficulty: difficult
Elevation gain: approximately 2,100 m
Hiking duration: approximately 11–12 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- mountain boots (good grip, waterproof, above the ankle);
- clothing adapted to the season, in several layers;
- thermal layer;
- rain poncho;
- cap/hat for sun protection;
- hat and gloves;
- headlamp;
- water bottle (minimum 1 litre);
- sandwiches and snacks.
Recommended:
- trekking poles.
COSTS
80 lei/person
Children up to 14 years old participate free of charge, if accompanied by an adult.
The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
