Dear hikers,
We invite you to a hike in the Făgăraș Mountains: Fereastra Mare a Sâmbetei, Colțul Bălăceni (“Romania’s Little Matterhorn”) and Cheia Bândei Peak.
The hike is of medium-high difficulty, with an elevation gain of 1450 m, and will take us through one of the most spectacular areas of the northern slope of the Făgăraș Mountains. We will climb through Valea Sâmbetei to Cabana Valea Sâmbetei, continuing towards La Cruce and Fereastra Mare a Sâmbetei, from where we will admire the imposing ridges of the massif. The route continues towards Colțul Bălăceni, known as “Romania’s Little Matterhorn”, and Cheia Bândei Peak, offering impressive panoramas over the entire area.
The route we will follow is: Drumul Forestier Valea Sâmbetei – Cabana Valea Sâmbetei – La Cruce – Fereastra Mare a Sâmbetei – Colțul Bălăceni – Vârful Cheia Bândei – La Cruce – Drumul Forestier Valea Sâmbetei.

For children up to 14 years old, participation is free of charge, if accompanied by an adult. The tour will take place with a maximum of 20 participants.
TRANSPORTATION

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
