Dear hiker,
In the month of Cireșar, we set off on a hike with spectacular landscapes through the heart of Mărginimea Sibiului, following the old transhumance routes between the ridge of Jina and Tilișca. We will cross gentle ridges, alpine pastures, fir and deciduous forests, places full of pastoral history, and we will discover the stories of the people who gave identity to these lands, as well as landscapes of special beauty.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Sunday, 14.06.2026, at 07:30, Kaufland parking lot (Hornbach).
We will group ourselves in personal cars and set off towards the village of Jina.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: medium ++
Approximate elevation gain: 300–400 m.
Approximate distance: 29 km
Hiking duration: 8 hours
Total duration of the experience: 10–11 hours.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Spare T-shirts, trousers and socks, mountain boots, hiking poles (recommended), rain poncho, waterproof jacket and trousers, sun cap, sunscreen, water bottle of at least 1.5 litres, snacks, whistle, flashlight
We recommend dressing in thin layers, as it is cool in the morning, and during the ascent the temperature will rise.
COSTS
Guiding 80 lei/adult
Children 40 lei/person. Minimum age 12 years.
Those who wish can opt for a meal at the end of the hike, with goodies prepared by the Rau family at the cabin in Tilișca. We will choose the menu together after the group is formed, depending on everyone’s preferences.
Optional: The Pastoral Museum in Jina can also be visited based on a donation.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
