Dear hikers,
Saturday, 13 June, step into the mysterious world of healing plants! Join us on a hike through the hills of Alma Vii to reconnect with the ancient wisdom of plants and their healing power.
We are approaching the summer solstice, when plants reach the highest concentration of active principles. A suitable moment to gratefully gather the gifts offered to us by Mother Earth!
Among the healing plants specific to this period are wild rose flowers, wormwood, St. John’s wort, yarrow, red clover, plantain, elderflower, …and maybe we will even meet the Sânziene flowers!
What will we do?
• Conscious hiking – we will use all our senses to let ourselves be called by the plants we need. We will listen to the plants and their messages.
• Identification: We discover the “Doctrine of Signatures” — an ancient technique through which the shape, colour and habitat of a plant reveal its properties
• Sacred and responsible gathering – We learn the ritual of approaching a plant (how to ask for its permission, how to make an offering of thanks and how to harvest only what is truly offered to us)
• The Mythology of Healing Plants: We will rediscover the magic of ritual plants from Romanian and universal tradition and the way they were used for cleansing spaces, energetic protection and conscious dreaming.
• The circle of plants – we will stop at a place from where we will look at the mountains and share in a circle about our experiences
We will have breaks for gathering, for photos and also breaks for snacks!
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meeting in Alma Vii: 9:30, at the base of the entrance to the fortified church
Meeting in Mediaș: 9:00, in the Mediaș Train Station parking lot

Route difficulty: easy (with many breaks for observing plants and gathering)
Distance: around 6 km
Elevation gain: 60 m;
Total hiking duration: 3–4 hours
Minimum recommended age for participation: 16 years

Basket/bag – for gathering medicinal plants
COSTS
110 lei/person – the price includes guiding and facilitation into the world of plants
The hike takes place with a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 13 people.
Booking a place involves paying the ticket price.
Optional:
After the hike, we will have the possibility to visit the fortified church in Alma Vii and even have a light lunch (soup, dessert, coffee/lemonade – 65 lei/person) at the PGL in the fortress. Those who wish to have this lunch are asked to send a message to the organizer after purchasing the participation ticket, but no later than 11 June, 22:00.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is the responsibility of each participant and is arranged individually.
Those coming by train to Mediaș can contact the organizers to discuss transportation on the route Mediaș – Alma Vii and back.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

I declare under my own responsibility that, to the best of my knowledge, I am physically capable of sustained physical effort during hiking events without jeopardizing my health in any way. My participation in this event is entirely voluntary, understanding the associated risks to which I expose myself.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
