Dear hikers,
We will set off from Mălinului Street in Gușterița and climb toward the Falkenhayn Memorial Tower on Gușteriței Hill. After enjoying the view over Sibiu, we will descend toward the dog shelter, then climb on an unmarked path to the left, into the forest, and continue on the marked trail leading toward Hamba. We will stop for lunch in a specially arranged place, where we will also organize the workshop for the little hikers. Adults can also take part in the workshop or relax by reading something, or simply resting and listening to the quiet of the forest. Here we will also enjoy the delicious doughnuts you will receive before starting the hike!
After the workshop, we will return on a different route that will bring us to the base of the future Gușterland park, from where we will descend to the cars.
The hike is very easy, suitable for all people with a minimum level of physical fitness and for children aged at least 5.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 9:00, at the intersection of Mălinului and Viitorului streets in Gușterița
ROUTE INFORMATION
Distance: 8 km
Elevation gain: 250 m
Trail difficulty: easy
Hiking duration: approximately 5–6 hours, including the mountain workshop
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Waterproof hiking shoes or boots with good grip;
Hiking pants, a technical T-shirt and a waterproof outer layer (hoodie or jacket).
Small daypack; a light blanket to sit on during the workshop;
Spare T-shirt or base layer; cap / hat, sunglasses;
Water bottle, minimum 1–1.5 l. A snack for the break along the route. An energy bar or a piece of fruit would also be welcome.
Trekking poles can be helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve a seat, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after completing the registration.
After the registration process is completed, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we will organize and redistribute participants among the cars of those coming by car. Transportation costs will be shared jointly by the occupants of each respective car.
COSTS
70 RON/adult, 40 RON/pupil or student, 20 RON/child between 5 and 10 years old.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 8 adult participants. Children between 5 and 14 years old may participate, provided each child is accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for their children.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
