Dear hiker,
We invite you on a medium — medium+ level hike through fairytale landscapes in the Cindrel Mountains, where snowdrops bravely push through the late snow, announcing the rebirth of nature.
We will walk on both marked and unmarked trails, and in the heart of the Land of Huts we will stop at Grandma Maria’s place to enjoy simple and tasty local treats. A day of authentic mountain experience, with fresh air, peace, and the charm of spring.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Date: Sunday 15.03.26 from 8:15 in Sibiu
Location: Kaufland Șelimbăr parking lot, next to Shopping City Sibiu
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: medium / medium +
Elevation gain: 650 – 700 m
Distance: 17 km
Hiking duration: 6 – 7 hours
Total experience duration: 8 – 9 hours
Loop route:
Fundu Râului – Vârjoghii Ridge – Ghihan Peak – Apă Cumpănită Saddle – Runcului Peak (Dosul Albului) – Dealul Derjani – Râu Sadului (Ciupari).
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Spare T-shirts, pants and socks, mountain boots with high ankle support, rain poncho, waterproof jacket and pants, hiking poles (recommended), gaiters (recommended depending on the snow level), headlamp, hat and gloves, whistle, water bottle min. 1.5 liters, protein bars, magnesium, food. It is best to dress in layers, as mornings are cool while temperatures rise around midday.

80 RON / adult – participation in the hike
40 RON / child
Optional: Culinary specialties at Grandma Maria’s place. These will be announced a few days before the hike depending on your preferences.
The age limit is 12 years. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
